Here are some details, both new and old that, in some ways, make this house a work of art. First, from the upper kitchen, featuring both new and vintage tiles and solid oak Craftsman-style cabinet construction. This is not Home Depot stuff.

Below: Secret broom closet in the side of the pantryette. Can you find the door?

Some details from the upper floor: Carved marble mantel, Classic frieze panel over entry door and detail of the bathroom mirror.

Cherubs adorn the left and right sides of the roof top as seen from the street. Apparently this was a signature style of the architect who remodeled the house in 1960.

The entry door is a massive, ornate, wrought iron affair.

Below, three views of the back house interior and bath. It is really like a studio apartment with separate bath; a very cozy space that is, as mentioned, permitted as a den, but unpermitted for occupancy, so not technically legal for rental. But it's great for an office or family room.

More from the back yard of which we are so proud. It is the "Four Seasons Garden" by the way. Printemps means spring in French and Automne is Fall. Behind the fountain is the summer vegetable garden area (not planted at the moment) and in the opposite corner is winter with its "snow-capped" tiled pier. All the garden really needs now is appropriate seasonal plantings for each section, the kind of attention you, the new owner, will undoubtedly lavish upon the place.
